The Role of Night Nurse

As a night nurse, your work involves planning, leading, and organizing nursing care together with the patient and other professionals. The work is varied and stimulating, where one night is not like the other. As a nurse, you will develop through diverse tasks that the broad medical emergency care entails.

Your Future Workplace

The Department of Medicine and Geriatrics is the largest department at Värnamo Hospital with many services under one roof. We have three inpatient care units with different focuses on medical specialties. The department also has outpatient care, including medical day care and the dialysis unit. Our outpatient services encompass all medical specialties.

Our facilities are well-planned and modern, and we work with the patient in focus. Here, you will work alongside both experienced colleagues and new employees, all with great commitment.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a genuine interest in people and who always has the patient in focus. We would prefer that you have previous experience working in a hospital, but it is not a requirement.

You thrive in a workplace where you have the opportunity to work with mixed tasks at a varied pace. Therefore, it is important for us that you are a flexible person with a pleasant demeanor and have a good ability to structure your work. We place great emphasis on qualities such as teamwork and personal suitability. Our Offer to You

We offer you a permanent position at 68.63% (34 hours per week) with a start date according to agreement. Other employment degrees can be discussed. To ensure your recovery, we have fixed schedules. Those of you who work nights fill an important function, and we offer you a salary supplement of 6,000 SEK based on full-time!

Many of our employees have been with us for a long time and contribute with great security and knowledge transfer to newer employees. We have a mentor employed at the department who is available as extra support for all newly graduated nurses but also for you with experience as needed.

We have a close collaboration between our units, and many employees have expertise in all specialties and work in several units or have shared duties between outpatient and inpatient care.
