About the Position

We are looking for an engaged and competent 1st Social Secretary for our social services. In this leadership role, you will play a central part in our team and contribute to a safe and professional social service.

We are a group that enjoys working together, values our good work environment, and ensures the quality of our working methods. We are a unit consisting of social secretaries, family law secretaries, foster care secretaries, and our family team that works with both open and decided interventions. We support each other in our work and collaborate to carry out our mission in the best way. With children and families in focus, we cooperate with other internal and external actors such as schools and health care. We have begun a development process by merging our authority section with the open care family team. Together, we will adapt to the new social services law, and we have a project manager to support this work.

Responsibilities

In your role as a 1st Social Secretary, you are a role model who contributes to a good work environment and joy at the workplace. One of your most important tasks is to coach and guide in daily work, be able to lift your gaze and contribute different perspectives. You need to feel secure in leading and distributing tasks/cases to both the authority and the family team's open interventions.

You represent in the administrative court and at the board. The work involves providing support regarding priorities, demands, conflicting interests, and making ethical considerations, as well as ensuring that the work is of good quality based on laws and regulations. For us, it is important to be able to develop and grow in our roles as therapists and social secretaries. Competence development, for both you and us, and monitoring the external environment are therefore an important part of your work.

You will work with the adult group, assistance group, and unit managers to develop and ensure the quality of the operations. In addition, there are collaboration forums with other 1st Social Secretaries in the county. The introduction of new employees and supervision of students is also part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, BBIC training, and experience in treatment work as well as experience in case management within children and family. Training in Signs of Safety is an advantage. Previous experience in leadership positions and/or leadership training is considered an advantage. As a 1st Social Secretary, you are expected to coach and guide others and present cases to the board. This requires good knowledge of laws and regulations in the area and the ability to adapt your communication depending on the recipient.

Personal qualities we value include being secure, stable, and self-aware. You find it easy to build relationships with people and maintain a professional demeanor. Since your work often involves meeting people in crisis and vulnerable situations, it is important that your approach is empathetic and trustworthy.

You can remain calm in pressured situations and keep focus on the common mission. You also have the ability to plan and structure your work so that timelines, legal requirements, quality, and routines are followed, and that you express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish.

A valid driver's license is required.

Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time, with start date according to agreement. For the position, a valid extract from the National Police Board's criminal record must be presented. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
