The Child and Youth Counseling Center in Borlänge is growing and has received a larger catchment area in the county this autumn and is now called the Child and Youth Counseling Center Central.

The center has a family perspective and is based on close collaboration between primary care, social services, and schools, as well as an in-depth cooperation between child and adolescent psychiatry and habilitation to achieve early detection and ensure good care.

Currently, the center employs social workers, conversation therapists, licensed psychotherapists, clinic assistants, and department heads. We also have a family therapist from the social services' outpatient care with us part-time, who meets guardians in need of support. At the Youth Center, with which we have a close collaboration, social workers, conversation therapists, psychologists, doctors, midwives, and nursing assistants work. The operations are co-located on Skomakargatan.

We are a wonderful team with a great collective competence and drive to improve the mental health of our children and youth in the municipalities of Borlänge, Säter, and Gagnef. Exciting development work is ongoing in the field of children and youth. We are looking for another colleague who wants to join us in driving the development forward. Travel may occur in the position.

Conversation Therapist at the Child and Youth Counseling Center in Borlänge

As a conversation therapist at our center, you will conduct psychological treatment work with children and youth aged 0 to 18 years and their guardians. You collaborate with colleagues, care neighbors, schools, and social services. Together with colleagues, you will also participate in certain promotional work that is part of the Youth Health in Borlänge municipality. We offer a meaningful and stimulating job with a lot of personal responsibility.

We provide individual introduction and have ongoing supervision at the center from our supervisor, who is employed at the center with the task of supervising most centers in the county. We also have regular collaboration with child and adolescent psychiatry.

We are looking for someone who

• is a social worker or behavioral scientist with a basic psychotherapy education in CBT
• has a B driver's license

Meritorious:

• licensed psychotherapist or psychologist

Personal qualities:

You have a professional approach and place great importance on a respectful and safe interaction with children and youth, their guardians, and colleagues. You are confident in yourself and have a genuine interest in assessing the need for interventions and carrying out treatments with children and youth together with their families. Great importance will be placed on personality.

This job involves direct and regular contact with children and/or adolescents.
