We are now looking for someone who wants to work with a student in need of special support.

In the role of educational resource, your primary task will be to be responsible for a student with diabetes throughout the school day. This includes calculating diet, providing medical support to the student, and maintaining contact with guardians. You will be part of a team with teachers and after-school staff, which means close collaboration with both the class teacher and after-school personnel. You will be part of the staff group and during the school day, also help support other students.

Workplace Description

Vågbroskolan is located about four kilometers from the center of Söderhamn, close to forests and nature. The school is a complete primary school from preschool class up to grade 9, as well as an after-school program. Vågbroskolan conducts active and continuous values-based work. The school's values are based on cooperation, respect, responsibility, and self-reliance to create safety and well-being.

Your Competence

To fit into the role of educational resource with us, you need to be flexible and easily adapt to changes. Since we are a small school where staff work closely together, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and can build and maintain positive relationships. We are looking for a person who is calm and stable, and who feels confident in making well-founded decisions, especially in care-related situations.

We see it as a preference that you have good knowledge or previous experience with children with diabetes.
