As a junior accounting consultant, you will go through a clear learning process before becoming a client-responsible accounting consultant. You will belong to a team and work closely with a designated team leader. Together, you will plan both the ongoing work and your development on a weekly basis. In the long run, you will be responsible for a number of smaller companies whose entire economy you will manage, while also supporting the team with ongoing accounting and accounts receivable management in larger companies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

In the role of junior accounting consultant, you will be responsible for client invoicing, recording payments, and handling invoice financing, reminders, and collections. You will perform reconciliations of accounts receivable against both the balance sheet and factoring companies. In supplier management, you will work with invoices, accruals, payments, and reconciliations. You will produce balance reports for liquid accounts as well as accounts receivable and payable. For tax and VAT reporting, you will perform VAT reconciliations, check social fees and withholding tax, and handle periodic summaries and statistical reporting. You will reconcile other balance sheet items, including depreciation and accounting entries, make reasonableness assessments of the income statement, and review reports with a senior consultant. Finally, you will compile monthly reports sent to clients after review by your mentor.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a high school education in finance, preferably supplemented with YH or university studies
  • Has previous experience as an accounting assistant or similar (foundations in VAT, flows, simpler monthly reconciliations, and familiarity with accounts receivable, customer invoices, and supplier invoices)
  • Good knowledge of Fortnox and Excel
  • Speaks and writes fluently in both Swedish and English

It is also an advantage if you have previous experience working at a firm!
