About the Job

Solhaga Elderly Care is centrally located in Lidköping. The elderly care facility is divided into four departments with 10 apartments each.

We are now looking for a nursing assistant to Solhaga elderly care who wants to work most of the time on weekends and in return receive a lower weekly working time.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant with us, you contribute to good care and support for the users in their homes. You will work with care tailored to the individual's needs. This may include social and physical activities, both individually and in groups. In your work, you assist the user with health and medical interventions as well as rehabilitative measures as prescribed by a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist.

You work independently but have good collaboration skills as you are expected to actively participate in teamwork. A cohesive close support is important for our residents. The work includes documentation, and you plan and take responsibility for your work through implementation plans. You will be exposed to many people's life situations, which can be both interesting and challenging.

Documentation is an important part of the work. All social documentation is done digitally.

Who are you

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks with the user's best interests in focus and who is keen to complete the work you have started. As a person, you have the ability to take initiative and create trusting relationships based on care and empathy. You work independently and have good collaboration skills as you actively participate in teamwork.

Requirements:

• To be employed as a nursing assistant, you need to attach proof of protected professional title or a certificate from your current employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant as of July 1, 2023.
• Proficient in Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.

Meritorious:

• Care and nursing college diploma.
• Experience in similar work and/or education in dementia.
• Experience in documentation.

Other

We are looking for a nursing assistant who wants to work weekend shifts, which means working every weekend and at least 10 shifts/4 weeks scheduled on weekends. Weekend work includes shifts from Friday evening to Sunday evening. The weekly working time for weekend shifts is 32 hours/week, and 10 shifts correspond to an employment rate of 62.5%.

If there is a desire for a higher employment rate, more shifts can be scheduled on weekends or weekdays based on the employee's and the organization's needs.

The position is primarily a permanent employment, and weekend work is scheduled temporarily by the employer.

Your employment will be within Social Welfare Lidköping municipality with placement at Solhaga elderly care, which means that you may be required to work in other units.
