About us
We now need to expand our team with an additional rehabilitation assistant to meet the transition of municipal primary care!
The rehabilitation unit is part of the Health and Medical Care and Prevention area in Uddevalla municipality.
We are responsible for rehabilitation for individuals enrolled in municipal primary care, both in regular housing, in care and nursing homes, in short-term units, and within basic habilitation. Our team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, and assistive technology technicians. The unit is located at Rosenhäll in Uddevalla, with good train and bus connections. We offer you stimulating and meaningful work tasks in a positive work environment.
Your responsibilities
- Conduct training with patients as prescribed by licensed personnel
- Work closely with physiotherapist and occupational therapist colleagues, nursing staff, unit managers, nurses, and assistive technology technicians
- Instruct, educate, and guide nursing staff
- On behalf of licensed personnel, assemble, install, adapt, and test simpler assistive devices
- Be responsible for the assistive device storage and administer in WebSesam
- Document in the operational system Lifecare
- Staff the unit's phone during its opening hours
- Perform simpler administrative and office tasks
The work is physically demanding.
We are looking for someone with
- Experience working with the elderly and/or individuals with disabilities
- The ability to work independently and take responsibility
- The ability to work in a team and collaborate with other healthcare personnel
- Knowledge of assistive devices and training programs
Qualifications
- Education in nursing or other relevant education
- Driving license B is a requirement
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required
- Knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the ability to evaluate patients' progress
- Good communication skills in both spoken and written form, as well as the ability to instruct basic staff
- Experience in training staff and/or presenting to groups
Specialist training or professional experience in rehabilitation is an advantage.
