Within the Care and Social Services Administration, we have full-time as the norm. This means that all permanent employees essentially have a full-time position. More information about what this means for this position will be provided during a potential interview. Exceptions (from full-time as the norm) are personal assistants.

Erikshjälpen is looking for a Work Supervisor!

We are looking for someone who is empathetic, driven, and can quickly understand others' perspectives. The position is a parental leave cover for approximately 1 year within the Company and Culture daily operations LSS. About Erikshjälpen

Erikshjälpen is a daily activity center located centrally in Boländerna, close to both train and bus connections. Currently, two work supervisors work with twelve participants. The work varies by season and includes sorting, pricing, and packaging gifts donated to Erikshjälpen. Participants work independently with support and guidance from the work supervisors, who are always available to provide direction and create conditions for each person to perform their tasks as independently as possible.

Job Description

As a work supervisor, you provide individual support and service according to LSS (Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons) based on each participant's assistance decision. The goal is to create conditions for as independent, active, and meaningful a life as possible, tailored to the individual's needs, wishes, and circumstances.

You are also responsible for ensuring quality and goal fulfillment according to orders, implementation plans, and governing documents. The work involves using low-arousal responses, creating structure and security, and promoting participation. You will work with individuals with various types of disabilities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a nursing assistant education, a degree from a child and leisure program, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position.
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in daily activities or housing and have worked with people with disabilities.
  • Pedagogical education or education in communication such as AAC, knowledge of low-arousal responses, or motivational interviewing.
  • Experience working in retail or similar.

As a person, you are calm, stable, and focus on the right things even in stressful situations. You have good collaboration skills and communicate in a responsive and constructive manner. Additionally, you can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation. The job suits you if you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively while meeting deadlines.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is a protected professional title. To use the title of nursing assistant, you must provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. If you have nursing assistant education but lack proof or a certificate, you may temporarily receive the title of care assistant during a transition period.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve military placement.
