We are now hiring a project assistant for our ongoing project Enhanced Support for Work and Studies, which is a collaborative effort with the Public Employment Service, Region Uppsala, and the Social Insurance Agency, funded by the Coordination Association of Uppsala County.

The project is part of the Labor Market and Integration Unit, which belongs to the Business and Development Department at Älvkarleby Municipality. The project is led by a project manager who will be your closest colleague. You will report directly to the Business and Development Manager.

The initiative aims to offer coordinated and enhanced support to working-age individuals who are neither working nor studying through a motivating and coaching approach. The goal is for these individuals to approach the labor market or start studies.

Through collaboration with various parties, we work to offer an individualized and sustainable path forward for the target group, consisting of citizens in Älvkarleby Municipality aged 20 and above. The target group requires longer intervention periods where relationship-building and motivational work are central. Therefore, we are looking for someone with strong communication skills, commitment, and experience working with individuals in vulnerable situations.

As a project assistant, you will:

• Work with a coaching and motivating approach to support participants towards work or studies.
• Collaborate with local actors and utilize established networks to coordinate efforts at the individual level.
• Work closely with caseworkers in financial assistance.
• Contribute to creating structures for individualized interventions and support processes.
• Document and follow up on participants' development and analyze results to ensure the project meets its goals.

We are looking for you who:

• Have a background as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or other equivalent education/experience deemed relevant by the employer.
• Have the ability to create good relationships and easily motivate and engage others, even when facing resistance.
• Are structured, goal-oriented, and have a strong personal drive.
• Have experience working both independently and in collaboration with other actors.
• Have pedagogical skills and are used to working results-oriented.
• Have experience in project work and a systematic approach.
• Have good documentation and analytical skills.
• Hold a valid driver's license (B).

Valid ID and right to work in Sweden

To work in Älvkarleby Municipality, you need to show a valid ID that indicates your citizenship. In some cases, you may also need to show a document proving that you have the right to work in Sweden. If you are offered employment, you must be able to present one of the following:
