Our work has a significant impact on the lives of children and youth, and the feeling of creating value and making a concrete difference is palpable. Many of us are experienced and have worked for several years in the area of placements. With us, you will receive support and daily leadership from our team leaders. In addition, there are three unit managers and an area manager responsible for employees, their work environment, the units' budgets, and more. We are three placement units that are part of the Child and Youth Authority and belong to the reception, support, and placement area. The three units consist of about 25 employees. In total, we have around 80 people working with our foster home-placed children. We work with long-term placements and, in addition to ensuring legal security as the first guideline, we focus on building trust and creating relationships with our children/youths/contractors as well as biological networks. Our social workers work with the children/youths. Our foster home social workers investigate, support, and guide our contractors. We also have a school team with special educators and psychologists who support the child and the school.
Job Description
As a qualified caseworker, you will use your experience to coach and guide social workers and contribute to their growth and development as caseworkers. You will also handle some more complex cases yourself. In your role, you are expected to collaborate both within and across unit boundaries with other qualified caseworkers. You support each other and work closely together. Our qualified caseworkers are also responsible for introducing new employees and can serve as VFU and trainee supervisors. Your role also includes interpreting current legislation, collaborating with other actors, and being partially responsible for business development.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and training in BBIC. You should also have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and hold a B driver's license.
We would prefer if you have training in systems theory and/or Signs of Safety. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of supervising others and in-depth knowledge of the case management process.
You are a calm and stable person who maintains control even in stressful situations and has the ability to keep a realistic perspective focusing on the essentials. You find it easy to collaborate and relate to others in a sensitive, respectful, and smooth manner. You are a good listener, communicate clearly, and contribute to resolving conflicts constructively. At the same time, you have a well-developed ability to understand others' perspectives and situations without taking over their feelings.
