The administration consists of six departments. Four of the administration's departments are primarily responsible for the cultural committee's own operations: Uppsala Library, Uppsala Leisure, Uppsala Art and Cultural Heritage, and Uppsala Culture School. Two departments within the administration are secretariats that work directly on behalf of the administration's management and handle matters for the cultural committee and the sports and leisure committee.

Domarringens Leisure Club

Domarringens Leisure Club is a large leisure club with many children enrolled. The work team has many years of experience, and we work together with planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Working Hours

The working hours are usually scheduled for afternoons and evenings. In the evenings, we work with teenagers aged 13-18 years. Holidays and study days can be full days from 08:00 to 17:00.

Recruitment

We are looking for two new colleagues in this recruitment. In one position, you will work at Domarringens Leisure Club, and in the other position, you will work as a substitute for area 5, which includes Skyttorp, Vattholma, Storvreta, Björklinge, Bälinge, and Domarringen. The employment rate is 75%, and the employment is temporary until December 31, 2026. Start date by agreement.

Job Description

As a leisure leader, you will plan, lead, evaluate, and develop the leisure club activities (ages 10-12) and youth activities (ages 13-18) together with your colleagues. You will work to create meaningful leisure time for children and youth and to create a developing, stimulating, and safe environment. You are expected to actively work with good reception and equal value for all so that everyone feels good when they are in the activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with leisure leader training or other pedagogical education that the employer assesses as relevant for the position. You should have experience working with children and youth and good oral and written skills in Swedish. Knowledge of other languages than Swedish and English is an advantage for the position.

As a person, you are secure, flexible, and have good collaboration skills.

You have self-awareness and the ability to distinguish between personal and professional matters, which allows you to build good relationships and see things from the right perspective. You adapt easily to changes and have an open attitude when circumstances shift. With your attentiveness and flexibility, you create a good collaborative climate, where communication and respect are central. You see the whole picture and take into account the larger perspective – always with the best interests of the operation in focus.
