At the Education and Job Center Boländerna, about 130 employees from the administration work, and here 2000 adult students receive their education every day. In addition to SFI, we offer vocational training and general subjects, SO in the mother tongue, as well as adult education adapted for adults. At SFI, we have, in addition to regular SFI during the day, evening classes, and on Saturdays, several different activities that can meet students with various needs, such as SFI - basic for students with a short educational background where students receive extended time and content. We also have SFI for parental leave mothers, SFI focusing on vocational language, and SFI for students with visual impairments or blindness.

Job Description

As a curator, you will work together with the principal, deputy principals, and special educators as part of a team around adult students studying Swedish for immigrants. Your task is to work with the rest of the team to ensure that the student receives the support they need to make their studies work. In addition to our students having Swedish as their second language, they may face various challenges in making learning work. Your mission involves helping with contacts that need to be made so that the student can remove obstacles and focus on school and language development; it may also involve addressing emotions and well-being. Another important task is to support teachers in creating a salutogenic learning climate. It is important that you, together with us, are willing and open to create and, if necessary, reformulate your role.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in social work or behavioral science. Experience working as a curator within adult education, for adults in other forms, or in high school is considered an asset.

As a person, you value differences between people and take them into account when making decisions and choosing how to act. You have the ability to see the whole picture and to view issues from a broader perspective. The job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner.
