The Social Administration (SCF) is led by a director and is divided into four departments: SCF Staff, Child and Youth Authority, Child and Youth Interventions, and Adults.

In your role as a social worker at Nexus, you will have the opportunity to provide emergency support to victims of violence and make decisions about crucial interventions such as protected housing. Does that sound interesting? Then keep reading and apply for the position today!
Nexus is Uppsala Municipality's reception for individuals over 18 who have been subjected to violence in close relationships and honor-related violence and oppression. Nexus also provides support to individuals who are victims of prostitution and human trafficking for sexual purposes.
The unit works with authority functions by assessing support needs and granting various forms of interventions. Social workers at Nexus also conduct interventions such as support conversations and group activities. At Nexus, there are 11 social workers, a unit manager, a team leader, and an administrator.
Job Description
The work at Nexus primarily involves providing support to individuals who have been subjected to violence by someone close or who have been exploited in prostitution or human trafficking for sexual purposes. As a social worker at Nexus, you will be part of our reception. This means you will answer our emergency phone, receive urgent visits, and make assessments regarding protected housing. You will be an important part of our work against honor-related violence within the framework of our regional Resource Center against honor-related violence. Furthermore, you will participate in the unit's preventive and outreach work.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another qualification that the employer deems relevant for the position. The work requires that you have experience working with the target groups.
If you have further education at the university level in domestic violence and further education in honor-related violence and oppression, it is considered an asset. It is also an advantage if you have training in structured threat and risk assessment, SARA:sv, PATRIARK.
You are a flexible person who has the ability to see opportunities in change. Furthermore, you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. We also see that you are good at providing a service-oriented approach. Additionally, you make decisions based on available information and act accordingly.
