About 70 staff members work in home care, consisting of care assistants or trained nursing assistants.

The home care service is divided into 6 different care teams that operate throughout the municipality. These care teams are:

• Säter North
• Säter South
• Stora Skedvi
• Gustafs
• Night
• Cleaning Unit

The work involves irregular working hours scheduled for days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a nursing assistant in municipal home care in Ordinary Housing, you provide care and support to care recipients in their own homes based on decisions made in accordance with the Social Services Act. The work aims to strengthen the individual's independence, security, and quality of life.

You perform personalized care and service interventions and work according to a person-centered approach. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues and in interdisciplinary teams together with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers. The organization also includes a medically responsible nurse (MAS), dementia nurse, and other functions that provide support, method guidance, and professional development.

Your role includes being a designated care contact for several care recipients, which entails special responsibility for coordination, follow-up, and implementation of interventions based on the individual's needs and wishes. As a designated care contact, you are an important link between the care recipient, the organization, and relatives.

You work rehabilitatively and motivationally with a focus on maintaining the care recipient's functions and independence in daily life.

To ensure good quality and legal security, you continuously document in the organization's documentation system and report deviations and changes in the care recipient's needs according to applicable routines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Competence

• High School Education Nursing Assistant
  Mandatory requirement
  Completed and approved nursing assistant education at the high school level. Proof of the right to use the professional title nursing assistant.
• Driver's License
  Mandatory requirement
  B driver's license, manual or automatic.
• Delegation
  Mandatory requirement
  You have an interest in undergoing training in medication and insulin delegation.
• Communication
  Mandatory requirement
  You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, which allows you to communicate and understand information clearly and effectively.
• Technical Knowledge
  Desirable
  You are an experienced computer and mobile user and see it as a natural part of your work.
• Physical Ability
  Mandatory requirement
  The work requires physical ability to manage uncomfortable working positions, transfers, and a lot of movement, such as walking up stairs, getting in and out of cars multiple times per shift, as well as cycling or walking for extended periods. You should also be able to perform lifts in connection with, for example, transfers or shopping.

The night position currently involves only night work.
