Midwife for the health center in Malung - an important role in the heart of Dalarna!

Welcome to our appreciated rural health center with about 6,700 registered patients! We offer a versatile operation with general practitioner services, district nurse services, and specialized clinics for diabetes, blood pressure, heart failure, asthma/COPD, substance abuse, and mental health. We also provide maternal and child health care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation coordination, and counseling services.

With 75 km to the nearest hospital, we fulfill an important function for our patients - and you will be part of a team that makes a difference.

Midwife for the health center in Malung Job Responsibilities

As a midwife with us, you will work independently with your clinic alongside a colleague. You will be part of the Family Unit with child health care nurses, MBHV psychologists, and doctors. The job responsibilities include:

• Maternal care and contraceptive counseling
• Sexual and reproductive health
• Cervical screening
• Parent education
• Staffing at the youth clinic (part of the position)

Incontinence investigations and support for menopause clinics may also be included.

We support and assist in our area with nearby health centers.

Region Dalarna has a well-developed concept for the region's midwives in primary care through the regional MHV unit, which organizes continuing education and joint meetings.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed midwife with prescribing rights
• has a positive attitude and good collaboration skills
• enjoys taking responsibility and wants to contribute to the development of our clinic
• has experience in maternal health care

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

This position requires you to have a valid license for the relevant profession. Your professional license will be checked against the National Board of Health and Welfare's register of licensed health and medical care personnel (HOSP) before any job offer.
