Do you want an exciting, varied, and challenging job? We are currently looking for a substitute for the spring term of 2026 as one of our psychologists is on leave.

The work is aimed at primary school grades F-9. The employment is within the central Student Health Unit of the preschool and primary school administration, which includes about 30 employees from various professional groups such as special educators, school social workers, school psychologists, school nurses, and school doctors. The operations are conducted partly at the Student Health Unit in central Mora in the same building as the Mora Family Center and partly in the operations of our preschools and primary schools, as well as to some extent in high school as they purchase certain services from us. Currently, we have one school psychologist employed. The substitute position covers 60% during the spring term with possible opportunities for extension.

We offer you collegial support, including professional meetings with an experienced colleague and external supervision together with a colleague. You will work daytime, weekdays, and have the opportunity to influence your working hours within certain frameworks; some administrative tasks can be done remotely by agreement with the manager. You will receive a wellness allowance of 1200 SEK/year.

Job Responsibilities

The psychologist within the school has an important role in the health-promoting and preventive mission of student health and works to support students' development towards educational goals and promote students' mental health. The school psychologists in the central Student Health Unit work with a focus on organizational, group, and individual levels. The tasks include being part of the school's student health team (EHT) and the Student Health Unit's resource team, where your expertise complements other professional roles. You will provide consultation and guidance individually or in groups to school staff and conduct assessments and evaluations. As a psychologist within the school, you will contribute to the overall student health through your professional competence and profession.

Qualifications

You should have a degree in psychology. Experience in the profession and work within school operations is an advantage. You should have the ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, principals, school staff, colleagues, and external actors, as collaboration is a significant part of the work. You should contribute to the work of student health with your professional competence and have the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. You are communicative, with a customer- and citizen-oriented approach. You can also structure your own work and have the ability to work independently, managing your own agenda and taking responsibility for completing your tasks. You are flexible, have a positive attitude, are solution-focused, and development-oriented. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
