Description

The School Doctor of the Education Administration (of which one has the role of MLA School Doctor) is part of the central student health team along with school psychologists, the psychologically responsible school psychologist, the medically responsible school nurse, EMI business developers, the HSL operations manager, coordinating curator, and coordinating special educator.

The central student health is led by a common unit manager. As a school doctor in the Education Administration, you will have a workplace in the centrally located offices of the staff, and you will work together with a (part-time employed) school doctor colleague with the city's municipal high schools as well as adapted high schools.

The central student health in the Education Administration is now looking for a school doctor for a permanent part-time position, 50%, starting in the spring of 2026.

Responsibilities

As a school doctor in the central student health, you will work within the medical interventions of student health, which involves reception work at our schools. The reception work includes standard school doctor tasks with an emphasis on health care, students' working environment, and removing obstacles to students' learning. The promotional and preventive work may also involve interventions at the group and school unit level.

The school doctor is part of the school's student health team and is encouraged to participate in the local student health team work when needed. In the assignment, you are expected to collaborate cross-professionally with other professionals within student health.

The assignment includes participating in the school doctor network with the operations manager according to HSL and relevant training to develop competence related to needs within the administration. Participation in professional meetings EMI and network meetings and training is proportionate to the degree of service and is decided in agreement with the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

Licensed physician with specialist training in pediatrics, general medicine, or child and adolescent psychiatry. Experience working as a school doctor is an advantage.
