We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated summer substitute for our laboratory, which is accredited according to the ISO 17025:2018 standard.

Here you will have a varied job where you, together with a colleague, are responsible for analyzing water, sludge, and sampling related to the municipality's wastewater treatment plant. The role of laboratory technician involves the laboratory being responsible for analyzing the water at the municipality's wastewater treatment plant, recipient sampling, and sludge. During the summer, we need a substitute who can perform analyses, check instruments, register results, handle samples sent to external laboratories, and order materials, among other tasks.

Your work group consists of another laboratory engineer, and you work in premises close to the wastewater department at Hammargård's treatment plant in Kungsbacka. The treatment plant is being renovated, and the laboratory will be located in temporary premises during the summer.

Your Profile

As a person, you are meticulous and have good collaboration skills. You find it easy to plan and organize your work and can work independently. You have a positive attitude towards digital environments. You can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• has relevant post-secondary education, such as vocational training in operational and environmental technology, laboratory work, chemistry, water treatment, or similar, or other education or experience that the employer finds equivalent.

In Kungsbacka, there are four larger treatment plants that receive and treat wastewater, where the wastewater treatment unit works with the operation and maintenance of treatment plants and pumping stations. The laboratory belongs to the Technical Administration.

At the Technical Administration, over 200 employees work to plan, maintain, and expand the infrastructure throughout the municipality. We are responsible for, among other things, streets and street lighting, transportation services, pedestrian and bicycle paths, outdoor maintenance of public places, parks, and municipal sports facilities, drinking water and wastewater treatment, waste collection and recycling, as well as the municipal broadband network. In short: we make everyday life a little easier for the municipality's residents.
