About the position

In the role of Trainee in the integration area, you will support the work with implementation and planning of progress within the integration area. As a trainee, you will work in our management organization for communication and integration solutions, but you may also be involved in internal and/or external projects.

Examples of tasks:

• Development of integrations in container environments
• System testing
• Debugging
• Patching
• Requirements analysis

The integration unit has several different roles such as developers, testers, integration and solution architects, and you will have the opportunity to try out different roles and gain a broad perspective for future work. You will work with modern technology in the integration area, from microservice platforms to systems for streaming data, where several services are critical to Sweden's electricity system.

After your trainee year, you will continue in the integration area, where work with testing methodology and QA will become an important part of your tasks.

Svenska kraftnät is growing and is on a digitalization journey, which means that the need for integrations is increasing significantly. To meet this need, we are enhancing our capabilities, migrating to modern platforms, and supporting an increased integration need from other parts of the organization.

You will belong to the Integration/Business and IT Development Support unit. You will be part of a cheerful and competent team that is happy to share their expertise and knowledge.

About you

In your role as a trainee, you are an important ambassador and face of Svenska kraftnät. We are looking for someone who is curious, engaged, and humble in the fact that no one knows everything from the start. As a trainee with us, you will have a unique opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. During the trainee year, you will participate in training, mentoring, and practical experiences that prepare you for the future – while contributing new perspectives and energy to our operations.

You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working together with others to achieve common goals. You are goal-oriented and structured in your work approach, while also being relationship-oriented and building trust through attentiveness and respect.

We value a humble attitude towards learning – with us, it is perfectly okay not to have all the answers right away. The most important thing is that you have the desire to develop, are open to feedback, and use it as a tool to drive your own development forward. Even though much will be prepared and structured for you during your trainee year, it is crucial that you take responsibility for your own work and your development with us.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. Svenska kraftnät is a government agency, and it is important that you live up to the government value base.

When the program starts, you should have an academic degree in computer and systems science from a college/university. Your degree should be issued in 2024, 2025, or expected in the summer of 2026. As we are looking for someone who is new in their career, we want you to have a maximum of two years of work experience, before or after your studies. Part-time jobs during your studies do not count.

You also have:

• Documented experience in system development with object-oriented programming languages
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English

It is an advantage if you have:

• Documented self-developed IT solution through, for example, part-time jobs and/or personal interest
