About the Job
As a trainee in IT infrastructure, you will contribute to the team from day one. Together, the teams deliver complete IT infrastructure solutions for millions of individuals and businesses. Our systems contribute to a well-functioning society by creating conditions for taxation, population registration, democratic elections, crime prevention, and international cooperation.
In your role as a trainee systems specialist, you will contribute with expertise in system development tools and methods. With your technical skills, you will identify needs for and implement upgrades of tools and conduct tests of these. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that operational components such as manuals, training materials, instructions, and guidelines are established and maintained, and that we have the right tools for our development teams. You will come into contact with operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, and Linux.
The Swedish Tax Agency's IT trainee program is now in its fifth year, and we are planning for the next start where we want to hire up to 20 trainees in 3 different locations. During the program, you will gain knowledge about the Swedish Tax Agency's operations and build on your experience. You will have an individual development plan that is followed up and revised during the program period so that you can create the best setup based on your conditions and the needs of the organization. You will have an experienced mentor as support and sounding board. The trainee program lasts for 12 months, and your daily life will consist of training, practical exercises, and workshops, alongside working in the team. As a trainee in the systems specialist team, you will use your problem-solving skills to develop tools and systems that facilitate everyday life for many. In our large IT department with nearly 1700 colleagues, you have the opportunity to develop while contributing to societal benefit. You belong to the Tools and Development Platforms section of the Technical Service Unit at the IT department, located in Sundbyberg. In our section, we are 16 colleagues.
About You

In this job, you should:
- be a team player and ensure both the group's and your own performance

- express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and communicate in an engaging manner.
You should also have:
- a current or recently completed relevant education in IT (at least 180 credits) from a university or college with graduation from 2024 or later, but no later than August 2026
- relevant experience or documented knowledge in one or more of the following areas: IT infrastructure, system development tools, or installation and configuration of computer programs from your studies
It is desirable that you have relevant experience or documented knowledge in agile methods as well as Java and/or Python. Knowledge in AI and language models from your studies is also desirable.
Good to Know
The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with background checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
