About the Position

As a Trainee in Decision Support, you will be part of a key team driving Svenska kraftnät's data-driven development. You will work with the management and further development of solutions, optimization of systems, and incident management.

The role involves developing code-based solutions to retrieve, structure, and process data as well as further developing reporting and analysis solutions.

After the trainee year, you will continue with the development of data platforms, optimization of data flows, integrations, and reports for business-critical decisions. You will participate in strategic projects that strengthen Svenska kraftnät's digital capacity and work with our data lake (Cloudera) and Power BI. Over time, there are good opportunities to vary tasks and take on greater responsibility. You will belong to the Data Analysis and Data Platform unit with about 20 employees working cross-functionally with management and development.

In your role as a trainee, you are an important ambassador and face of Svenska kraftnät. We are looking for someone who is curious, engaged, and humble in the fact that no one knows everything from the start. We value a humble attitude towards learning – with us, it is perfectly okay not to have all the answers right away. The most important thing is that you have the desire to develop, are open to feedback, and use it as a tool to drive your own development forward. Even though much will be prepared and structured for you during your trainee year, it is crucial that you take responsibility for your own work and development with us.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. Svenska kraftnät is a government authority, and it is important that you adhere to the governmental value framework.

When the program starts, you should have an academic degree in system development such as a system scientist or data engineer, or a similar education. Your degree should be issued in 2024, 2025, or expected in the summer of 2026.

As we are looking for someone who is new in their career, we want you to have a maximum of two years of work experience, before or after your studies. Part-time jobs during your studies do not count.

You also have:

• Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience in:

• Development of data warehouse solutions
• Python
• Report development in Power BI

Good to Know

• Attach a transcript of your course list/grades to your application.
• The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period.
• Travel with overnight stays occurs regularly during the trainee year.
