Requirements Analyst at KTH

Responsibilities

As a requirements analyst, you will be part of a team that manages and develops system support for KTH's various operations. Your responsibility is to plan, lead, and execute activities that lead to the team and suppliers understanding the needs behind and the requirements for the system supports. You will conduct requirements analysis and formulation together with representatives from the operations. Based on this, you play an important role in formulating the team's objectives, as well as defining solutions. Benefit analysis, valuation, and prioritization in relation to the team's conditions are naturally integrated into your working method.

In this role, you will also:

• Document, preserve, and disseminate relevant information about the target operation and identified needs and requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on how information about the operation, its needs, and requirements should be interpreted.
• Follow up on goal and requirement fulfillment with clients and other close stakeholders.

About the department/unit

The mission of the operational support is to support the university's education and research. KTH's operational support is in an exciting phase where we work together to develop our working methods. As an employee within the operational support, you contribute to KTH's mission to research, educate, and create societal benefit while also having the opportunity for your own professional development.

With approximately 150 employees organized across four specialized units, our IT department offers a supportive and enriching environment where you can thrive both professionally and personally. You will belong to the system development unit, which currently has about 60 employees in roles such as system developers, team leaders, UX designers, service designers, and IT specialists.

The Team

You will be matched with one of the current teams that fit your skills and development goals. Teams working with system support for digital work environments/collaboration tools, finance, or HR currently have a need for your expertise.

Qualifications

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined current work experience in the role of business analyst, requirements analyst, service designer, or equivalent in system development.
• Work experience in organizing and leading workshops for needs and requirements gathering.
• Work experience in formulating and communicating needs and requirements according to established models, such as user stories.
• Work experience in valuing and prioritizing needs, requirements, and actions according to established models, such as impact mapping, benefit analysis, or equivalent.
• Very good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English is required in daily work (to be verified during any interview).
• Relevant academic education.

We are looking for someone who is relationship-building and can collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks while having a holistic view and understanding how different parts of the organization are interconnected. The role requires you to be quality-conscious and deliver meticulous work, as well as to be structured and able to handle multiple parallel tasks effectively.

Meritorious

• At least a bachelor's degree from a college or university.
• At least 3 years of combined current work experience as a requirements leader.
• Work experience in the role of business analyst, requirements analyst, requirements leader, or equivalent for the development or management of digital support for financial processes or HR processes.
• Work experience in an operational role within system development.
• Work experience in procurement within the public sector.
• Work experience in the development or management of digital support within government agencies.
