About the Job

As a trainee in integration development, you will be part of one of our agile development teams from day one. In close collaboration with the business, the teams deliver solutions that simplify life for millions of individuals and businesses. Our systems contribute to a well-functioning society by creating conditions for, among other things, taxation, population registration, democratic elections, crime prevention, and international cooperation.

The Swedish Tax Agency's IT trainee program is in its fifth year, and we are now planning for the next start where we want to hire up to 20 trainees in 3 different locations. During the program, you will gain knowledge about the Swedish Tax Agency's operations and build on your experience. You will have an individual development plan that is followed up and revised during the program period so that you can create the best setup based on your conditions and the needs of the business. You will have an experienced mentor as support and a sounding board. The trainee program lasts for 12 months, and your daily life consists of training, practical exercises, and workshops alongside working in the team. The two trainees we are looking for in the integration area in Sundbyberg will primarily develop API solutions using Mulesoft as the technical platform. Other system development takes place with Java in Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) as the target environment. For version control, Git and GitHub are used. For back-end, Java/Spring Boot is used, and for front-end, technologies such as Angular and React are utilized.

As a trainee and integration developer, you will use your problem-solving skills to create solutions that make everyday life easier for many. You belong to the integration and service section within Common Services at the IT department, located in Sundbyberg. Within our delivery, we are around 60 colleagues working in the digital customer meeting in other environments.

About You

In this job, you should:

  • be a team player and ensure both the group's and your own performance

  • be curious, enjoy challenges, and have the ability to drive your own and the business's development forward
  • express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and communicate in an engaging way.

You should also have:

  • a relevant ongoing or recently completed education in IT (at least 180 credits) from a university or college with graduation from 2024 or later, but no later than August 2026
  • relevant experience in system development in the programming language Java from your studies.

It is desirable that you have relevant experience or knowledge of system integration. It is also desirable that you have relevant knowledge of APIs or other integration patterns.

Good to Know

The employment is permanent and starts with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
