Brå's mission is to promote crime prevention through development, research, statistics, and knowledge dissemination, primarily to the government and authorities within the justice system. Our office is located on Fleminggatan in central Stockholm. We currently have around 200 employees.
About the job
We are now looking for an IT Support Technician for the IT unit. You will be responsible for first-line support according to ITIL, which includes problem-solving, escalation, documentation, follow-up of cases, and following procedures. You will work proactively and preventively to create documentation in the form of instructions and guides.
Main tasks include working with first-line IT support (1st line), handling support cases that come in from Brå's employees. This involves technical troubleshooting and resolution, administration and configuration of accounts and permissions, installation and configuration of hardware and applications (e.g., images, client computers, mobiles). It also includes escalation and collaboration with 2nd and 3rd line support, both internally and externally with suppliers, responsibility for purchasing and distribution of IT accessories, as well as testing new hardware and software.
Your education and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience deemed relevant by the employer
- at least 3 years of experience working with IT support in a mixed environment with both Windows and Linux
- experience in software and hardware support and experience with hardware and software rollouts.
You should have technical competence in:
- Microsoft platform, Windows, AD, Exchange, Outlook
- Linux
- Virtualization e.g., KVM, Proxmox, Hyper-V, ESXi
- Ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, TOPdesk, or similar
- Installation and rollout of hardware and software (e.g., clients and mobile phones).
You should have knowledge and experience in:
- working independently with cases
- improving process flows and leading smaller initiatives, coordinating and communicating with users, colleagues, and suppliers
- adapting tone and communication according to user needs
- drawing conclusions and finding solutions based on logs and troubleshooting
- prioritizing cases
- speaking and writing very good Swedish as all communication and documentation is done in Swedish.
It is advantageous if you have experience with ITIL processes and continuous follow-up, as well as familiarity with incident, problem, and change processes. It is also advantageous if you have experience representing support in CAB.

Employment conditions
The position is a permanent full-time employment located at Fleminggatan 14 in Stockholm. Brå applies a 6-month probationary period and individual salary setting.
