Your Mission

As an analyst, you belong to a unit within the Signals Intelligence department. The department works with the collection of raw material, processing and analysis, and delivers intelligence reports and other services to the agency's clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the collection of information and data within a designated production area. You will process, analyze, and draw conclusions, documenting these in intelligence reports. The work is influenced by technological developments, which requires you to adapt your methods accordingly. You will also apply collection methods and adjust production according to customer needs. You will be part of a workgroup and have contacts with clients and partners, and eventually manage partner contacts. The position involves both independent work and collaboration with your team.

Your Main Tasks Include:

• Processing information volumes
• Identifying relevant intelligence information
• Analyzing and producing reports in consultation with colleagues

Furthermore, you will represent the agency to clients and partners and verbally present and explain the materials that have been developed. Business trips abroad may occur.

You Can

We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic degree in political science, law, journalism, economics, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience in a relevant field
• Experience in processing and analyzing large data sets
• Experience in report writing
• Good computer skills
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• Good reading and/or listening comprehension in Russian

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge of/worked/studied in the societies and/or nearby regions where Russian is spoken
• Worked with Russian translations
• Worked with security, foreign, or defense policy
• Produced materials/reports within a government agency or investigative work
• Work experience from the Armed Forces, Government Offices, Security Police, departments, other authorities, or security/intelligence services
• Worked in investigative journalism

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will be security vetted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
