IT Architect at the Financial Supervisory Authority

Are you an experienced IT architect looking to lead our architectural work in data, AI/ML, and analytics? Join us at the Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) and contribute your expertise! We are an engaged IT team working agilely to deliver services to FI's employees, the public, and companies under our supervision. We are now strengthening our IT organization.

About the Job

You will be a key person in the work around target architecture and the transition that the Financial Supervisory Authority is making towards a data-driven and digitalized operation. You will help develop new architectural solutions and recommendations that meet today's and tomorrow's requirements and needs together with other delivering agile teams.

You will belong to the Architecture department, representing the department in architectural matters and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You will be part of the architecture team responsible for developing the Financial Supervisory Authority's target architecture and roadmaps, ensuring they are realized effectively and sustainably. As the responsible architect, you will sit in our decision-making forum for architectural issues.

Your Focus and Responsibilities

Your focus will be on data, AI, and analytics. We are looking for someone with experience in modern technology, data management, governance platforms, and AI/ML and GenAI in analytics. You have knowledge of architecture and digitalization and can transform complex needs into sustainable solutions. You create engagement and collaboration through attentive communication and constructive problem-solving with the business and IT.

Your Education and Experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • has several years of experience leading and developing target architectures, solution architectures, and roadmaps in collaboration with various teams from a holistic perspective for modern data management, business intelligence, and analytics (AI/ML) solutions in hybrid environments
  • has experience in architecture for data platforms handling large datasets, including governance, central data catalog, and architectural transition
  • has knowledge and experience with Databricks, Kubernetes, and container architecture from a data and AI perspective
  • understands IT security requirements, pseudonymization of sensitive data, and policy-based RBAC/ABAC
  • has knowledge of GenAI and agent solutions integrated into business processes
  • has experience working according to established architectural frameworks and processes
  • holds an academic degree in a technical field
  • expresses themselves very well in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you:

  • have worked within a government agency or in the financial sector
  • have knowledge and experience with dbt, Airflow, hybrid Lakehouse
  • have knowledge and experience with several AI applications beyond analytics
  • have experience with various levels of classified information
  • have experience with agile work and/or the SAFe framework.

The IT business area leads the strategic digitalization work, drives innovation, and is responsible for international coordination within IT. Our mission is broad, and our responsibilities range from ongoing operations, support, and security to the development and management of our systems, project management, architecture, procurement, and supplier management. About 100 people work here, distributed across 5 departments and a staff.
