Network Technician at the Swedish Armed Forces

Main Responsibilities
As a network technician, you will work with the operation, management, and development of network infrastructure with high demands on availability and IT security. This involves a wide range of network-related tasks, including configuration and troubleshooting of environments consisting of firewalls, routers, switches, and encryption. Revising technical documentation and reporting and documenting ongoing and completed work is seen as a natural part of the job. You will play an important role in ensuring a well-functioning and updated IT environment together with your colleagues.

Qualifications
You should have:
- At least a high school education with a focus on IT/Technology and/or equivalent experience.
- Current and relevant knowledge of switches, routers, and network protocols.
- Good knowledge and understanding of networks and IT infrastructure.
- Good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
- Swedish citizenship.
- Driver's license at least class B.
Meritorious
- Good knowledge of Cisco's networking products.
- Certification in Cisco networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).
- Knowledge of IT security and access control.
- Knowledge of encryption and certificates.
- Knowledge of logging solutions and monitoring platforms.
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and VMware.

Other Information
The position is a civilian role, full-time, permanent, and begins with a 6-month probationary period. The location is Stockholm, with immediate start or according to agreement. Some travel is included in the job.
