Business Developer at SKB

Do you want to work in a values-driven organization where development work is about long-term thinking, quality, and creating a good everyday life for both employees and members? SKB is facing several important changes in the coming years and is now looking for a business developer who wants to be a stable and driving force in the continued development of our management.

Here you will have the opportunity to work closely with the business and be involved in both smaller improvements and larger change initiatives - always with a focus on creating feasible and sustainable working methods.

Responsibilities

As a business developer in SKB's management, you will play a central role in developing, structuring, and refining how we work in everyday life. You will move between different parts of the organization, follow the work in our properties, participate in dialogues with managers and employees, and translate needs into clear plans and functioning solutions.

The role includes, among other things, that you:

  • Drive development work from start to finish, from defining needs, leading feasibility studies, and planning projects to executing, following up, and closing. You ensure that changes are implemented in a way that works practically in the organization.
  • Map and analyze working methods by following work processes on-site, listening to how different professional groups work today, and identifying what can be simplified, clarified, or improved. You develop concrete proposals and ensure that they are anchored before implementation.
  • Lead workshops and dialogues that gather employees with different roles. You help groups understand the current situation, find common working methods, and create consensus on what needs to be done and why.
  • Plan and drive projects, both independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Work practically with upcoming system changes, where several of the management's current systems will be modernized. You contribute to requirements specification, test solutions, and ensure that the systems support how we actually need to work.

This is a role for you who enjoy building structure and working closely with the business. You will be involved in everything from digitization and safety work to improved processes for reporting issues, planning, and everyday operations. The work also includes incorporating external perspectives that, where relevant, can contribute to the development of SKB's working methods.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who finds it easy to collaborate, enjoys creating order, and likes to get things done. You are confident in leading others in development work, but you also enjoy delving into details, analyzing processes, or working practically with implementation. We believe you have:

  • A university degree in social sciences, economics, quality, real estate, or another relevant field
  • Several years of experience leading development or change projects with clear goals and timelines
  • Documented project management experience, preferably in operationally close assignments
  • Experience in mapping processes and working methods and translating analysis into concrete improvements
  • The ability to drive work independently, structure assignments, and follow up on results
  • Good system understanding and experience working in and developing digital system support as a natural part of business development and change work.
  • Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing and to create clear documentation that supports decision-making and implementation

Meritorious:

  • Experience from property management or another business with operational and customer-related processes
  • Experience in improvement methodology
  • Experience leading workshops and facilitating groups

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is structured, analytical, and clear in their working methods, and who combines a positive and unpretentious attitude with the ability to drive work forward. You have an easy time creating participation and influence and engage others in development work through a responsive, inclusive, and pedagogical way of communicating.

You are innovative and brave in your approach, willing to try new methods, and drive development when needed, while also having a good understanding of the organization's everyday life and conditions. The role suits you if you want to understand the whole and take responsibility for implementing what needs to be done, from the initial analysis to ensuring that new working methods work in practice.

SKB is a cooperative rental association with over 93,000 members. With nearly 9,000 apartments in the capital and in eight surrounding municipalities, we are the largest private rental player in Stockholm. SKB was born over a hundred years ago out of the desire to collectively create better housing in a rapidly growing Stockholm. And that drives us even today. We will continue to build for our members while taking long-term responsibility. We do this by building with quality and not selling any of our houses. What we build, we manage ourselves, for all time. All with the promise of creating more than just a home together. SKB's headquarters is located in Bromma, and the organization consists of about 150 employees.
