Compliance Officer

An exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Compliance Officer who wants to work on ensuring compliance with laws and regulations within financial services. The role involves significant responsibility and a central position in the organization, focusing on driving and developing compliance efforts.

About the Position

We at SJR are now looking for a Compliance Officer for our client operating in the finance sector, located in central Stockholm. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance processes in line with global guidelines. The assignment starts immediately and lasts for 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a compliance plan in line with the global compliance model.
• Update policies, procedures, and parts of the compliance program.
• Support the business regarding risks of financial crime (MLRO).
• Provide compliance opinions for high-risk clients and ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations.
• Conduct periodic risk assessments and prioritize compliance risks.

The role also includes reporting potential or actual violations of policy or law, and preparing compliance reports for boards and regulatory authorities.

Suitable Background

You have a relevant educational background in law, economics, or similar and at least 3 years of experience as a compliance officer. Experience in leasing is an advantage. You are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Personal Qualities

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong ability to identify and resolve complex compliance, regulatory, and ethical issues. You are independent, structured, and skilled at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you are responsible and unpretentious.
