Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Hägersten-Älvsjö is one of 11 district administrations in the city of Stockholm with about 3000 employees. Today, we are one of the city's largest districts with approximately 130,000 inhabitants. In Hägersten-Älvsjö, you are close to the city, public transport, and nature. We offer a dynamic workplace with opportunities for you to develop in your role.

New job with us?

We are an experienced, friendly, and development-oriented workgroup that is now looking for two employees for our unit.

This concerns a permanent position and a long-term temporary position. The Social Psychiatry Order Unit in Hägersten-Älvsjö district administration is located at Telefonplan, near the subway and buses.

We offer

The Social Psychiatry Order Unit currently consists of 13 case officers, a team leader, and a unit manager. We also have administrative staff linked to the unit. We will now expand the workgroup with a new position. Here you can become the new employee.

The new Social Services Act means that we are currently looking at new ways to work to become more accessible. The unit's core values are that we work to instill hope in every individual we meet. Based on the long experience and broad competence within the group, there is a belief in the interventions provided within the area of operations and in the individual's ability to recover and develop.

We offer wellness grants and we usually organize various activities within the unit and together with other units within the administration. You have the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week. In the city, we apply flexible working hours and summer hours.

Your role

As a case officer in social psychiatry, you work with adults aged 20-64 who have mental and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. Your work is significant and multifaceted as you, in dialogue with the client, will work to find the best solution for the individual. The work as a case officer involves receiving applications from individuals, conducting investigations by gathering information and making assessments. Investigations result in decisions about interventions that must then be followed up regularly. Your work is based on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).

In your work, you will collaborate both with colleagues in the district and external partners such as psychiatry, health care, and service providers.

We are looking for someone who enjoys a varied job in a changing environment where no two days are alike!

Your skills and experience

You have a degree in social work or another higher education that is deemed equivalent by the employer. We value experience in case management according to both SoL and LSS for individuals with mental and neuropsychiatric disabilities.

The city of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
