About the job

As a personal ombudsman, you will work in a structured and professional manner to support individuals over 18 years old with mental disabilities and dependency issues. You will help them navigate daily life and overcome obstacles. You will act as support for clients in their interactions with authorities, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. You will work on behalf of the client. The role of a personal ombudsman involves finding a common solution between various authorities, healthcare providers, and other actors that the client needs to contact, based on the client's needs for care, support, services, rehabilitation, and employment. Your overall approach is to maintain a holistic perspective with a clear focus on the individual’s needs.

As a personal ombudsman, you report directly to the head of the department for individual and family care.

The department for individual and family care, which is part of the social care area, consists of four units: the family unit, the dependency unit, the economic and reception unit, and the family support unit. There is also an administrative group of four employees and four development leaders, including personal ombudsmen. The department is located in new modern activity-based premises at Täby Center. In total, we are about 140 employees.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
• At least 3 years of experience working with people in vulnerable life situations who have a significant and long-term mental disability that poses major obstacles in daily life
• At least 3 years of experience working with people in vulnerable life situations who, in addition to a mental disability, also have dependency issues
• A valid driver's license (B)
• Good knowledge of social legislation (Social Services Act, LSS)
• Strong proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written

You are solution-oriented and tackle challenges with a focus on finding practical and effective solutions. You build and maintain good relationships, making you relationship-oriented in your work approach. About the Recruitment Process

In Täby Municipality, recruitment is conducted based on the methodology of competency-based recruitment. The recruitment also includes various types of background checks for a quality-assured process.
