We are an LSS group home that offers support and care to five individuals with different needs. Our goal is to create a safe and stimulating environment where each resident can develop based on their unique circumstances and interests. We work with person-centered care and strive to create meaningful activities that promote independence and quality of life.
You will be part of a team that, together with the coordinator and unit manager, will work towards the development of the operations together.
The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
Support Assistant for Group HomeJob ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for two engaged and empathetic support assistants for our LSS group homes located near the center of Nykvarn. In this important role, you will make a difference in our residents' lives and work closely with the HSL team, relatives, and other professionals to create a safe and developing environment.
As a support assistant, you will work closely with our residents and support them in their daily lives.
Your work includes, among other things:
- Planning and implementing activities that promote social participation
- Providing support in daily tasks and personal care
- Documenting and reporting on our residents' development and needs
- Collaborating with colleagues, relatives/representatives, and other professionals to ensure high-quality care and support.
- Working from a pedagogical approach and low-arousal response
We require you to present a criminal record extract before employment.
Nykvarn Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider it an advantage if you speak Finnish.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
For this position, we may apply a probationary period.
QualificationsYou are empathetic, attentive, and have a strong desire to make a difference for others. You have the ability to work independently as well as in a team, and you have a positive attitude towards challenges.
Requirements:
- Education in care and support, social work, or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF)
- Good knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
- Good computer skills and experience with documentation; we use LifeCare
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Experience working within LSS
