The area consists of a total of 47 assistance caseworkers and LSS caseworkers.

We are divided into three units: LSS children, LSS adults, and social psychiatry. The area is led by an area manager, and each unit has a unit manager and group leaders. The reception group currently consists of two competent colleagues who support and manage cases for the unit.

Your role

Some of the reception's most important tasks are to conduct eligibility assessments, preliminary assessments, receive applications, attend various meetings/home visits, and refer people correctly.

You will have daily tasks such as:

  • Conduct eligibility assessments for the entire unit.
  • Register incoming cases/applications.
  • Process applications according to SoL and LSS (participate in SIP, request documentation, simpler investigations).
  • Work in Lifecare before discharges (social psychiatry module) participate in discharge planning for new clients, when applying, the case is assigned to a caseworker.
  • Preliminary assess according to SoL and LSS (decision not to initiate an investigation).

Working in the reception group means that you will be the spider in the web and you are an ambassador for the unit and social services, having a respectful and good approach to those you come into contact with. Your immediate manager is the unit manager for social psychiatry.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have:

  • Degree in social work.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, LSS, and the Social Services Act.
  • Experience from the target group, LSS children/adults as well as social psychiatry.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Knowledge of data systems, such as: Paraplyet and LIFECARE.
  • Previous experience in public authority exercise, such as assistance assessors/social workers within the City of Stockholm.
