Social Worker for Focus Studies and Health

Welcome to us

The position is located in the Focus Studies and Health unit within the Labor Market Administration, City of Stockholm.

Focus Studies and Health offers various initiatives and support for further education and self-sufficiency to young people and young adults aged 16–29. The unit works with young people from all over Stockholm and consists of various initiatives for young people and young adults through the operations UngVux, Studiesteg1, Insatssamordningen, Project My Future, and Studio Form. Overall, the unit works with target groups within the municipality's activity responsibility and UVAS (20-29 years).

If the necessary decisions are made, we are now looking for two committed social workers who, together with an existing social worker, want to contribute their psychosocial and social skills!

The employment starts on May 1st.

Your role

As a social worker, you will be an active part of the unit's operations and an important part of an exciting and modern overarching operation in constant development. Your tasks include:

• offering psychoeducation to parents and youth
• supporting families based on possible disabilities and/or other diagnoses
• guiding to the right support in society in close collaboration with internal and external parties.
• providing supervision and consultation in the psychosocial area to employees within Jobbtorg Stockholm.
• working to promote learning, health, and development, with the goal that young people can take the step towards studies or work.
• you will work mobile across the city
• contributing with psychosocial and social skills through work at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

Your skills and experience

For this role, you need to have:

• a degree in social work or similar education that the employer assesses as equivalent
• basic psychotherapy training (step 1)

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience from previous work as a social worker
• previously worked within social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, or habilitation.
• experience collaborating with educators and student health teams
• experience with young people facing school avoidance issues
• experience supervising colleagues and supporting guardians
• experience with young people involved in crime
• experience with young people and substance abuse issues
• experience with psychosocial assessments
• SE (supported employment) and SED (supported education) training
• MI training and/or other conversation methods
