Postdoctoral Researcher in Migration and Health

The position is placed within the research platform Borders in Health, Medicine and Society, an international and interdisciplinary research environment with researchers in migration, global health, medicine, social sciences, humanities, and arts. Within the research group, we conduct research on migration and health, structural racism and vulnerability, as well as interactions between migration, clinical practice, institutions, law, and society. The position will primarily involve assisting in the group's ongoing research projects, focusing on The Boundaries Longitudinal Study: Physicians' attitudes regarding the reporting of undocumented patients seeking care, funded by the Swedish Research Council.
Responsibilities
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will work within the research group, partly under the guidance of researchers, including some independent work with the recruitment of physicians and medical students, as well as conducting ethnographic fieldwork and qualitative interviews, analysis of qualitative data, and co-authorship of research articles.
Qualifications
A doctoral degree in migration and health, medicine, anthropology, or another relevant field is required for the position. The applicant should also have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Experience in research on migration and health.
- Experience in conducting ethnographic fieldwork in medical and/or migration-related contexts.
- Experience in conducting qualitative analyses and writing results.
- Experience working in interdisciplinary research environments.

Employment
Employment type: Fixed-term intermittent employment, 6 months.
Scope: 0-20%.
Location: Department of Medicine, Gothenburg.
Start date: as soon as possible or by agreement.
