Östad School is now advertising for a craft teacher. We offer 20% now during the spring but possibly 40% or more in the fall, a perfect position for you who already work part-time as a craft teacher and want to increase your hours or for you who have your own business in the craft area but want a stable income.

Östad School is a F-6 school with an associated after-school program. Students have craft classes in grades 3-6. We have two well-equipped craft rooms, one for wood and metal and one for textiles. Östad School is located on the outskirts of scenic Sjövik with forests and meadows as its closest neighbor. You can easily reach us by bus, car, or why not by bike.

We are about 20 people working at the school. We systematically work with our quality efforts, always focusing on the student and linking current research to our development areas. The goal is for Östad's students to feel good, learn a lot, and leave our activities with a good self-esteem, great initiative, and many positive experiences. Our vision, that we learn with heart and mind, is based on a view of humanity that includes and accepts everyone, whether meetings and interactions occur during a lesson indoors, outside in the yard, or on a field trip. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Östad School, you will teach students in grades 3-6. Your task is to plan, conduct teaching, evaluate and assess students' craft processes, but also to work to ensure that students feel good, believe in themselves, acquire knowledge, and develop abilities in harmony and trust in themselves and their peers. You will work alongside a qualified craft teacher and will be able to grade in grade 6. You will have a lot of freedom to use your skills, ideas, and qualities to find ways, methods, and develop teaching in harmony with students' participation and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We wish that you are a certified craft teacher and that you have previous experience working as a craft teacher.
