About the role and your tasks

Your tasks consist of supporting our clients with care during the night. Your role also includes handling alarms, documenting, and consulting and collaborating with your closest colleagues, day and evening nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists for the best possible quality. You are expected to perform tasks delegated by a nurse, such as medication distribution, administering insulin, and tube feeding. Documentation is done in Lifecare.

Night work means that you should be able to work independently and that the situations that may arise during shifts can be both varied and unexpected.

Your role also includes contributing to the development of the operation and maintaining good quality.

You will work nights with shifts every other weekend. Working hours are between 10:00 PM and 7:20 AM. Full-time encompasses 34.33 hours per week.

We are looking for you

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with extensive experience in care work and in meeting clients with varying needs, preferably from work in home care. You have a manual driver's license and are accustomed to working nights, including driving in the dark. Experience in end-of-life care is an advantage.

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement, as well as being comfortable using a computer and mobile phone in your work. Since a large part of the working time involves working alone, you need to be both secure and independent.

About the workplace

Lund Municipality's home care is divided into several geographical areas. In each area, nursing assistants and care assistants work in teams with health and medical staff under the leadership of a unit manager. At Stora Södergatan 49, the home care teams Södertull, Järnåkra, and Night Home Care are located. The premises are situated in central Lund with good communication opportunities. In the neighboring building (No. 47) is the care and nursing emergency service as well as digital home care.

The Night Home Care is a workgroup of 50 experienced nursing assistants who perform all home care at night in Lund Municipality. Every night, a group departs from central Lund and works within the urban area, and a smaller group from Veberöd works in Veberöd, Dalby, Södra Sandby, and Genarp. The work is performed by car, so a driver's license and good driving experience are required.

The goal of home care is to carry out assignments with high quality based on individual needs and wishes, as well as to provide the opportunity for individuals to remain in their own homes.
