FemCenter women’s shelter offers professional support and advice to women and children affected by violence from all over the country. We operate two protected accommodations where we carry out assignments in accordance with the Social Services Act, as well as an open counseling reception where women affected by violence receive support and advisory conversations. We also run a nationwide support line where assistance can be provided in 20 different languages. FemCenter women’s shelter engages in advocacy work regarding violence in close relationships and meets with politicians and authorities on issues concerning the shelter's target group. In addition to employed staff, there are about twenty active volunteer women in the organization. FemCenter women’s shelter is ultimately run by a non-profit board.

Currently, FemCenter women’s shelter is looking for a shelter coordinator:

Job Responsibilities:

As a shelter coordinator, you will be responsible for the shelter’s protected accommodation, which means you will work with the women and children placed in the shelter. The main tasks include offering structured support conversations, crisis conversations, and other practical support to those placed in the shelter. As the contact person for the women and children, you will be responsible for the case from start to finish. Additionally, you will also provide support conversations through FemCenter's nationwide shelter phone and aftercare services.

Desired Qualifications and Characteristics:

You should have a degree in social work. Experience in social work, particularly in women’s rights issues and with children who have experienced violence, is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you speak Arabic.
