Stuxgården

On Gotland, there are special accommodations for the elderly in six locations.

Here, we work with the mission to provide support and interventions to the elderly around the clock based on their individual needs. The operations follow the palliative care philosophy and place the user at the center. Through individual implementation plans, interventions are planned and carried out in accordance with our values: trust, care, and participation.

Stuxgården is a residence with 36 places, of which 24 are for people with dementia and 12 are special accommodation places. The residence is beautifully located in Fårösund with a view over the strait to Fårö, with suitable facilities and a lovely garden.

We are now looking for two new employees to join us at Stuxgården.

Your tasks

As a care assistant/residential assistant at Stuxgården, you will, among other things:

• Motivate and stimulate the elderly in their daily lives together with your colleagues.
• Perform customary care and service tasks such as personal care, medication administration, delegated healthcare tasks, household chores, and implementing various activities based on needs.
• Work according to IBIC (Individual's Needs in Center) with a focus on safety, meaningful everyday life, and individual needs for each resident.
• Be a contact person and work with implementation plans.
• Document according to applicable routines and maintain contact with relatives.
• Perform certain administration related to the assignment.

Working hours are according to a basic schedule, with day and evening shifts and working every other weekend.

Who are you?

You who are applying for the position as a care assistant are educated and preferably have previous experience in the care profession and/or elderly care. To be employed as a care assistant, you must meet the regulations that allow you to use the protected professional title.

It is desirable that you who are applying for the position as a residential assistant have a high school education. It is also an advantage if you have an education focused on care and nursing, for example as a nursing assistant, and if you have previous experience in the care profession and/or elderly care.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with cognitive/medical disabilities, BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms in Dementia) and palliative care.

As a person, you are secure in both yourself and your professional role. You have a calm demeanor and a willingness to help others and find solutions according to the organization's goals and guidelines. To thrive in the role, you need to be flexible and proactive and work structured both independently and in a team.

You have the ability to adapt your approach to different individuals' needs and different situations and see the daily challenges and changes you face as exciting and developing. It is important that you are confident in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as all communication and documentation is done in Swedish. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

About the Social Administration

As part of Region Gotland, we work in the social administration with social interventions such as counseling, support, and treatment. Our areas of operation are social services, home healthcare, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities throughout Gotland.
