Surgery & Urology, Inpatient Care

Department A4 is an acute somatic care department.

With us, you will meet and care for patients who need both acute and planned postoperative care focusing on upper and lower gastro, thoracic and vascular surgery, urology, ENT, and oncology surgical patients. We have 18 care places for patients who come to us acutely and six elective care places on weekdays. With us, you will experience variety in both pace and tasks and have the opportunity to become both well-rounded and a specialist in acute somatic healthcare.

Your Responsibilities

Do you want to work clinically as a nurse in Department A4 but also have a nursing leadership role? Here you have a central role as we collectively lead the development of the department forward. You are responsible for ensuring an evidence-based approach and actively driving improvement efforts. You initiate and maintain good cooperation within the workgroup, where different professional roles collaborate, as well as between us and our important partners in other departments of the hospital. You contribute to the goal of continuously improving quality and ensuring good patient safety. You are also a mentor for your colleagues and serve as a role model both within and outside the department.

Who Are You?

You are a licensed nurse authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare and have at least five years of clinical experience in an acute somatic care department. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working in surgical or urological departments as well as experience in development and improvement work. A specialist nurse education in surgical care, nursing pedagogy/mentorship training, and training in improvement work and project management are also advantageous.

We are looking for someone who is self-driven and enjoys driving development and improvement work. You have good collaboration skills and thrive in interdisciplinary teams where you contribute to a learning and open work environment. Your holistic view allows you to see the entire care chain and work for continuity, quality, and safety for the patient. With your pedagogical insight, you support colleagues and serve as a clear role model.

We place great importance on personal suitability in this recruitment.
