Skara Diocese is looking for on-call priests

Skara Diocese is one of a total of 13 dioceses within the Church of Sweden and is also Sweden's oldest diocese.

Here, history and the present are woven together in a large and varied operation. Approximately 90 people work in the Skara diocese organization. The Self-Care Institute Lilleskog is located in a picturesque environment just outside Alingsås. There are 12 positions at the diocesan center, and the team of on-call priests includes 7 part-time positions, led by the department head.

Skara Diocese wants to strengthen the group and is looking for additional on-call priests. The role of on-call priest requires a particular interest in and solid experience of pastoral care conversations. We would like you to have previously served as an on-call priest/in institutional pastoral care, participated in advanced pastoral care training, and have education and experience in crisis management.

The on-call priest can be reached through three communication channels: phone, chat, and digital mail, and the work involves responding in all channels.

You will be part of a team with additional colleagues. The assignment is performed according to a schedule and includes evenings as well as certain nights/mornings.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible or by agreement.

The position consists of an intermittent hourly employment lasting until 2027-04-30, with the possibility of extension.
