JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work with youth who primarily attend the national programs at Frejagymnasiet, specifically the programs for trade and service as well as the hotel, restaurant, and bakery program at Mölndal's adapted high school.

Your tasks involve assisting students in their education under the guidance of teachers and/or independently, as well as supporting them during breaks and other pauses during the school day. The role also includes helping students with their social interactions and relationships with each other. The work may also involve being a support for students during physical education classes where you need to be actively involved.

You have the ability to collaborate and come up with your own initiatives to solve problems. You can meet each student based on their individual circumstances and your ability to consider the student's unique situation to develop social and academic skills.

We prefer that you applying to Frejagymnasiet have previously worked with students or adults with intellectual disabilities and you should have knowledge and experience in handling youth with autism.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Education as a social pedagogue or activation pedagogue
• Good social and communication skills - you can listen, build trust, and mediate in social situations.
• You can explain and clarify social contexts for students and contribute to creating safety and understanding in interactions with others.
• Insight into how intellectual and cognitive disabilities as well as autism affect everyday life.
• Experience working with children, youth, or adults with intellectual disabilities (ID).

As a person, you are responsible, attentive, and structured with a low-arousal and pedagogical approach. You are good at collaborating and adapting when circumstances change.
