Social Worker at the Authority for Functional Support in Lerum Municipality

We are looking for a new employee who wants to work as a social worker at the Authority for Functional Support in Lerum Municipality. Our workplace is located close to the commuter station with about a 1-minute walk to the office. From Gothenburg Central Station or Alingsås, it takes about 20 minutes by train to Lerum.
Currently, the unit has 13 social workers, two senior social workers, and one unit manager, most of whom have many years of experience in the unit's area of responsibility. We are a workgroup that enjoys being together, helps each other when needed, and has fun together. As a caseworker, you are surrounded by collegial support, receive case supervision from a senior social worker, participate in methods and method development, and external supervision.
We are looking for you for a qualified assignment as a social worker who, together with us, wants to drive development for the benefit of our residents.
In the unit, we are organized into a children's group (0 – 24 years) and an adult group (25 -) where we handle all types of cases from both SoL and LSS within both groups. The employees we are looking for will primarily work within the adult group where you will meet target groups belonging to both SoL and LSS. However, we want to emphasize that we are one unit and help each other as needed and during absences.
The position will primarily focus on the adult group.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a caseworker within the Authority for Functional Support, you will work with the overall decision-making process for persons with disabilities according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).
You will investigate, assess, and make decisions based on current legislation and follow up on decisions made. The work involves contact with both the individual and relatives, providers of the decided intervention, other authorities, and healthcare providers.
The work also includes documentation in the operational system Treserva. Together with your colleagues, you will handle communication with healthcare via the system Samsa. The position also includes day responsibility (on-call) during the day according to a schedule. You will also prefer cases in the individual committee.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who are applying are a trained social worker or have other education that the employer deems equivalent.
You have good knowledge of current legislation LSS and SoL.
It is an advantage if you have experience as a caseworker for the target group with disabilities, especially advantageous if you have handled personal assistance.
You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and can adapt your communication, documentation, and case handling according to legal requirements and the user's conditions.
You are responsible, structured, and have the ability to reprioritize when needed. In difficult situations, you remain calm and act objectively.
You enjoy collaborating and think it is important to provide a good response to both users and partners internally as well as externally.
You believe that change work is an important part of our work and contribute to the development of the unit.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Since the work may involve travel, it is a requirement that you have a B driver's license.
Start date according to agreement.
