The Health and Care Administration, with its approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in Mölndal municipality and encompasses elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and health care.

Konditorivägen is a group home in Lindome for young adults with self-harming issues. Here, six users receive individually tailored support in their daily lives. We work with low-arousal approaches and other evidence-based methods to create a safe and stable environment. We who work here are a team of ten dedicated individuals who support each other, share knowledge, and develop together. We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to help create the best possible everyday life for our users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant, you will work to support users in their daily lives by creating a comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful existence, as well as working preventively and systematically. You provide professional support and strengthen each individual's self-esteem and belief in their own abilities - all work is based on the user's individually established implementation plan.

You will be involved in establishing and/or maintaining social networks. Your role also involves supporting users in developing their communication skills and sense of belonging, as well as providing support in social activities, both individually and in groups. The goal is to support full participation in society based on each person's individual wishes.

You will provide support in all daily tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, culture, and leisure. Some users have pets. Threats and violence as well as suicide may occur, but we have methods to handle this.

You belong to a workgroup with support assistants and support pedagogues. You will work with social documentation in the documentation system Treserva and continuously follow up and revise the implementation plans. We work with operationally adapted and flexible schedules. The needs are continuously adjusted according to the needs of the operation, which means you need to be prepared to work days, evenings, weekends, and on-call.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has training as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience in psychiatry, substance abuse, suicide, and self-harming behavior.
• Has experience working with individuals with mental disabilities.
• Has knowledge of low-arousal approaches (LAB), clarifying pedagogy, and AAC.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and experience working with Timecare and Treserva.
