About the position

As a security guard, you will work in public places where many people are on the move. Therefore, it is important to be stress-resistant, have a high social competence, and a good ability to perceive situations. You should be able to perform your duties as a security guard in an effective, legally secure, and uniform manner.

A security guard needs to express themselves correctly and clearly in contact with the public. This also includes body language, where you need to be aware of the signals you send out, as the communicative skills are an important part of the trust-building work of a security guard.

Job responsibilities

You will work in a vehicle-borne patrol together with a colleague and alongside other vehicle-borne patrols in the assignment. Your task is to operate throughout Järfälla where we have permission from the Police Authority to serve. The purpose is to create safety and security for the city's residents and businesses, focusing on crime prevention and safety-promoting issues, alongside the fundamental duties of security guards to help maintain public order.

The position is full-time with varying working hours from 15:00 to 02:00 / 12:00 to 23:00 starting from 1/1-2026. You will be based at our premises in Järfälla.

Qualifications

To work as a security guard, you need to be security-conscious, service-oriented, empathetic, and have an inner sense of security and a natural drive to help. You should be able to combine good service with a pronounced security mindset and have good communication and collaboration skills.

To qualify for the position, you need to meet the following basic requirements:

• at least 20 years old according to Section 4 of the Security Guards Act (2014:401)
• valid security guard permit
• good Swedish and English in both speech and writing
• driver's license B

It is an advantage if you have longer experience in the industry and hold a security guard training certificate. In addition, you need to be without a criminal record*, drug-free, have a stable economy, good health and fitness, and have a high school diploma or equivalent education.
