About us
Solna City has been a leading municipality in urban development for a long time. We are currently in a phase of expanding our urban development efforts through investments in sustainability, increased housing construction focusing on rental apartments, and the development of public services such as sports, schools, and preschools. A major focus is on developing the city's own land alongside significant infrastructure investments being made in the city, including the expansion of the subway to Arenastaden and the expansion of the Mälarbanan.
Hagastaden is growing on the Solna side in the south and Järvastaden continues to grow in the north. Hagalund and Bagartorp are examples of development areas where the city aims to create increased attractiveness through more vibrant centers. Other complex urban development projects that the city is driving include Arenastaden and Ekelund/Pampas in a lakeside location by Ulvsundasjön.
