We are now looking for a Vehicle Manager for the Operations and Maintenance department – a key role where you will have the opportunity to influence and develop our work forward. In this exciting position, you will be a central part of the team and responsible for ensuring that our fleet of approximately 200 work vehicles and corresponding machinery maintains high quality and is in optimal condition. In your role, you will among other things:

- Ensure that the right vehicles and machinery are ordered according to applicable guidelines, including managing contracts, mileage, and contract lengths.
- Be responsible for the purchase of heavy operational vehicles and machinery.
- Act as the contact person for GSL.
- Monitor and ensure the correct handling of insurance matters.
As a colleague with us, you will be part of a unit consisting of department administrators, planning leaders, and property support functions. Together, we support the Operations and Maintenance department in a wide range of issues. The department is the largest in the administration with approximately 400 employees.
Qualifications
We are looking for a Vehicle Manager with a genuine interest in vehicles and maintenance. To qualify for the role, a post-secondary education in vehicle technology, mechanical engineering, transport, or equivalent is required, as well as a good understanding of different types of vehicles, maintenance processes, repairs, fuels, and charging infrastructure.
You have experience in finance, procurement, or contract administration and can conduct cost analyses and manage leasing and contractual issues in a structured manner. Furthermore, you have experience coordinating vehicle fleets, managing vehicle and booking pools, and working with statistics and documentation. You have good computer skills, and it is an advantage if you have worked with vehicle administrative programs.
An important part of the role is to follow up on vehicle usage, environmental impact, and cost-effectiveness, as well as to identify, analyze, and propose improvements to optimize operations. You have good communication skills and are used to supporting the organization through information, training, and dialogue, as well as experience collaborating with both internal units and external suppliers.
We would like you to be solution-oriented, structured, and engaged, with a clear focus on quality, safety, and efficiency in the vehicle fleet.
We value initiative, commitment, and a desire to deliver high quality and safety in all aspects of the work. If you are ready to take the next step in your career and take on a new challenge – we welcome your application!
