Vattenfall Hydropower is now looking for a production and maintenance technician in Kinna!

You will be part of a team of four colleagues responsible for the operation and maintenance of Vattenfall's hydropower plants and regulation dams in the Sjuhärad area. Our main responsibility is to ensure accessible and safe facilities.

The work as a production and maintenance technician is varied and responsible; here are examples of tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ongoing and preventive maintenance
  • Inspections and condition checks
  • Surveys and regular rounds of hydropower plants and regulation dams
  • Analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting
  • Improvement projects, both on producing units and dams
  • Water planning and operational monitoring of the plants' electricity production.

We work both outdoors and indoors, and driving between facilities is part of everyday life. You are expected to take an active role in our work with risk assessments and to create safe workplaces where we are open and helpful.

Our team also has on-call responsibilities in the area. Once you are familiar with the routines and meet the requirements, you will have on-call duties on average every fifth week according to a rolling schedule.

We are part of the Production Group Viskan/Upperudsälven, which consists of two teams. In the other team based in Dals Långed, five colleagues are responsible for our facilities in Upperudsälven. Within the group, we collaborate on common issues that may involve working methods, safety, routines, and system support. If necessary, we can meet outside of regular work areas for training and meetings. Or, on special occasions, help each other between the establishments in Dals-Långed and Kinna.

Qualifications

We are looking for an engaged and reliable production and maintenance technician in hydropower. We offer you a free and responsible job in very nice surroundings.

You have a high school education in electrical or mechanical engineering and experience in operation, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting. Knowledge in automation, electricity production, and other industries is an advantage. You are solution-oriented, structured, and safety-conscious, enjoy collaboration but can also work independently.

IT proficiency is required, as well as a B driver's license (BE is a plus).
