JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position of building permit officer involves processing building permit applications and other matters within the Planning and Building Act (PBL) in a service-oriented, legally secure, and prompt manner. Many decisions are made by delegation, but you will also serve as a presenter for the Building and Environmental Committee.

The work involves a lot of contact with the public and businesses to provide advice and information regarding construction based on current legislation. The work is independent but also a team effort with check-ins and assessments within the group. You contribute to the group's success by sharing your knowledge and experience. We offer you a stimulating and developing job with a lot of responsibility and many contacts within and outside the organization.

Your main tasks are to supervise and process permit and notification matters according to the Planning and Building Act, i.e., building permit applications, preliminary decisions, technical consultations, inspections, shoreline protection, and advice within the unit's area of operation. You will also participate in internal quality and development processes, both within your own unit and in the municipality at large. In your daily work, you will have contact with other authorities, builders, the public, consultants, and lawyers.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree as a building permit officer, building engineer, or other equivalent education. If you have experience working as a building permit officer or supervisory officer and have experience with the Edp Vision Bygg program, that is an advantage. We expect you to have good knowledge of planning and building legislation, be able to express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing, and interact with others in various contexts, adapting to the situation, purpose, and audience. As a person, you have a positive attitude towards the assignment, are self-driven and proactive, while also being collaborative and unpretentious. With creativity and a solution-focused mindset, you see opportunities and are positive about development and change. You actively contribute to our shared work environment and pleasant workplace climate.
