About the Role

As a business developer within assignments, you scan society and the market to see what there is a demand and need for. You create and maintain good relationships with potential partners and stakeholders. You ensure that ideas develop into concepts that are then transformed into reality, all the way from start to finish. By writing and presenting project applications, you ensure funding and then drive projects that truly make a difference in society.

To succeed, you should:

• Have an entrepreneurial mindset and be responsive to the environment.
• Enjoy networking with associations, companies, and the public sector to find new collaborations for future operations and projects.
• Be structured and good at writing, as you are expected to write project applications.
• Be solution- and development-focused, both internally and externally, and contribute improvement suggestions that develop both the organization and yourself.
• Enjoy collaborating with colleagues and be driven by working towards set goals.
• Have clear self-leadership and take responsibility for several operational areas where you plan, sell, develop, and follow up on your operations.
• Have good computer and system skills.
• Have a B driver's license (also for cars with manual transmission).

It is an advantage if:

• You have relevant education and/or experience from similar assignments.
• You have experience in sales and working in project form.
• You have experience writing project applications.
• You have experience in project management.
• You have an existing network within authorities, municipalities, and businesses.

About the Employment

We offer a probationary employment of 6 months with the possibility of a permanent position. The position is full-time (100%) and the start date is according to agreement.

We are flexible with your location and you can be based in one of the following places: Gävle, Västerås, Örebro, or Karlstad.

Medborgarskolan is one of Sweden's leading study associations that promotes democracy and diversity through education and training. The organization is politically and religiously independent and is based on humanistic values, where the individual is placed at the center and development occurs in collaboration. Medborgarskolan Mitt is one of six regions in Sweden, responsible for Svealand and Gävleborg. The region conducts folk education, the Show Dance School Entré, commissioned education, and schools. Within folk education, the region has over 40 employees and collaborates with more than 500 course and circle leaders.
